BHIX: Brooklyn Health Information Exchange

Jaclyn Haar Danziger
Special Assistant to the Executive Director

 

Jaclyn Haar Danziger is the Special Assistant to the Execute Director at the Brooklyn Health Information Exchange (BHIX). Ms. Danziger is focused on improving healthcare quality through adoption of health information technology and standards-based health information exchange.

 

At BHIX, Ms. Danziger is charged with identifying opportunities for improving healthcare affordability and patient outcomes with an eye towards furthering corporation sustainability. She played a pivotal role in authoring and setting objectives for BHIX's two successful HEAL-5 (Health Care Efficiency and Affordability Law for New Yorkers—Phase 5) grants, making BHIX the largest HEAL-5 award recipient. In work with the New York eHealth Collaborative, Ms. Danziger was instrumental in recommending the patient consent model ultimately adopted by New York State.

 

She came to BHIX with extensive experience and educational training in diverse aspects of the healthcare industry. She has served in various capacities, including healthcare market research utilizing online consumer survey tools, psychiatry and neuroscience journal review, and marketing strategies in consumer data aggregation.

 

Ms. Danziger received an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in health policy and computer science where her research resulted in the publication of her thesis, Medical Privacy in the Information Age.
